The Portofino at Ferrari of Salt Lake City

The all-new Ferrari Portofino is set to dominate its segment. It’s the perfect combination of top performance and versatility. The Portofino was designed to provide a driving experience that’s on a whole new level–one that’s guaranteed to be better than ever. It effortlessly converts from a ‘berlinetta’ coupe to a drop-top convertible with its retractable hard top (which can be opened or closed in just 14 seconds!). Exterior Design

The new Portofino was designed for top performance by the Ferrari Design Centre. Its exterior is aggressively styled with a two-box fastback configuration–something not generally seen in a coupe-convertible. The Portofino’s character is sporty, while also maintaining the elegance and sleekness that people expect from a Ferrari.

Its exterior was designed to show off a unique juxtaposition of concave and convex surfaces. Designers worked hard to achieve a flow in the body of the Portofino and included a large central radiator grille, two side air intakes, and two larger vents in the bonnet. They also wanted to conceal the engine compartment and the rear volume housing, and did both without impacting the comfort of the driver or passengers while the top of the vehicle is down.

The designers and engineers of the Portofino placed a lot of emphasis on the aerodynamic efficiency of the new vehicle. They wanted to cut drag, while keeping both fuel consumption and emissions down. Ferrari’s engineers worked hard on those 3 things, and were able to accomplish them to give the new Portofino an improvement of 6% over the previous models.

Interior Features

The Portofino’s cabin was designed to be just as breathtaking on the inside as it is on the outside. It was carefully designed and developed my Ferrari’s top designers to be aesthetically pleasing, while also fulfilling all of the driver’s needs and creating more space for the driver and passengers. It was designed to include high-tech elements, top-of-the-line materials, and handcrafted finishes.

The cockpit of the Portofino is symmetrically arranged and more rear space was added. The designers created a dashboard that features two shells that incorporate all of the technical components you need in your vehicle. They also added a bridge with an instrument panel area that acts as a divider between the driver and the passenger.

Attention was also given to the comfort of the passengers while in the Portofino. It comes with a full infotainment system, new air conditioning system, better steering wheel, 18-way adjustable seats, a passenger display, and a new seat backrest that was designed to boost legroom for rear seat passengers.

Engine

The Portofino’s renowned V8 Turbo engine was designed for maximum performance and makes the Portofino the most powerful convertible on the market. It was nominated for the International Engine of the Year award for the last 2 years. The powerful engine guarantees unmatched driving pleasure for drivers of all abilities.

The V8 engine delivers an impressive 600 CV at 8,000 RPM and provides torque delivery that is both smooth and progressive. Its soundtrack has been enhanced so that it can be better appreciated during top-down driving in the Portofino. Other design changes enable the vehicle to offer higher levels of acceleration and lower fuel consumption than past models.
